HISTORY/TIMELINE OF COMPANY

The Tea House Times, LLC was founded in 2003 by Gail Gastelu. The business began as a means of connecting and educating businesses and consumers with an end result of better tea experiences and better tea knowledge leading to more informed tea purchasing decisions and better business opportunities for anyone buying, serving, or selling tea.

The Tea House Times publication began in 2003 with printing of the Nov/Dec 2003 issue. A transformation to expand and include digital subscription options in 2009 helped to increase distribution through larger tea business associations, innkeeper associations, and consumer groups reaching an est. half a million readers among businesses and consumers. The publication and website have undergone just a few redesigns in keeping with the times. In addition to the publication 6x per year, the website posts weekly updates to tea industry news and featured blog posts.

TeaCourse.com was introduced in 2008 as an online platform for continuing education. With no end in learning, the site has added something new nearly every week since inception resulting in over 500 tea topics to ensure constant learning to aid tea business growth, success and profitability.  TeaCourseFastTrack.com, introduced several years later,  grew out of a need to condense the learning into a four-hour session. It is normally presented in conjunction with a live trade or consumer tea show and may also be arranged for a min. of 5 people privately.

TeaEtiquetteCertified.com was launched in 2010 in partnership with the Charleston School of Protocol and Etiquette.  The program is an aid to those businesses wishing to learn about and perhaps add an etiquette program to their tea room events.  The program may be completed in 6-12 months time with certification awarded upon completion.

TeaTradeShow.com was launched in 2018 as a virtual and never ending but perpetual tea trade show to connect exhibitors and buyers all day, every day, all year long, online! The goal is to share best business practices within the tea industry and ensure quality, consistent connections and up-to-date contacts, wholesale information, educational materials presented by exhibitors and through our vast network and archives. Everyone saves money on travel and related expenses, drayage, booth build, printed materials, and so much more; saving an average exhibitor at least $2,500 on unnecessary expenses.
